Local Information The village of Badgeworth is also a parish, which is located in Tewkesbury, a district of Gloucestershire England. The village itself is situated between the city of Gloucester and the town of Cheltenham and is inhabited by just over 1,200 residents.
The Parish of Badgeworth includes not only the village of Badgeworth, but also Bentham and Little Witcombe. This parish is composed of the upper division of Dudstone as well as King Barton’s. Furthermore, the parish of Badgeworth also contains several hamlets including that of the previously mentioned Little Witcombe and Bentham but it also contains the hamlet of Little Shurdington.
One of the two most prominent points of interest in Badgeworth includes the Christ Church College as well as their mineral springs which are found spread throughout the county. The church at the college itself is of an earlier English styling with a magnificent tower attached to it. The mineral spring is situated on the Cold Pond Estate and is considered to be very similar to the waters which can be found in Cheltenham.
All in all, Badgeworth is a serene and quiet parish perfect for rest and relaxation as well as offering easy access for people attending the Christ-Church College. Thanks to the laid back atmosphere of the Parish, the students who are able to attend classes can find better opportunities to study and advance themselves.
On the weekends of course, Cheltenham and Tewkesbury are fairly close and are considered to be an excellent choice for things to do outside of the serene Badgeworth lifestyle.
Persons who may plan on visiting Badgeworth, may opt to find lodgings in Cheltenham or Tewkesbury and make the short drive into Badgeworth to take in the sites as both Cheltenham and Tewkesbury have the surroundings necessary to make a vacation or a weekend get away.
